The original Dinikit-I

The original Dinkit-I now renamed to “dink_512” has been officially released to "Project Dinkit".

Like "dink_tty", “Dink_512" fits into a boot sector. Dink_512 is a very small OS just under 512 bytes . Dink_512 is not a true part of the “Dinkit project”. But it is here to help bring some people up to speed. I believe that “Dink_512” may be the worlds smartest OS in a boot sector. It has 6 commands and a tiny menu. Basically it displays the first 64k of memory.

What you will learn

The startup code that makes Dink_512 relocatable will be used through the of the rest of the Dinkit projects
The two main reasons for Dink_512 being here are:
1. To show you what you can in a boot sector.
2. The startup code is so good that it is used through out the Dinkit project.
